前回触れたようにWhat do you like to do in your free time? という質問は、日本語で言えば、「趣味はなんですか?」に近い表現ですが、free time の長さによって、質問される側の答えも変わります。今回は、まとまった自由時間があるときに何をするかを聞いてみました。こちらのほうが、より「趣味」に近い答えを引き出すことができそうです。これもまた生徒にとっては楽しい話題でしょう。楽しい話題のときには、教師も楽しく対応したいものですね。この点、テレビのバラエティ番組の司会の技術には大いに学ぶものがあります。
